To clear things up, the E2500 does not have a wireless repeater feature. However, the E2500V3 can be configured into Bridge Mode. However, the E2500V3 can be configured into Bridge Mode. For reference, check out this link .
14/04/2004 · WDS stands for Wireless Distribution System and is a feature supported by an increasing number of 802.11 access points. Simply put, it enables single-radio APs to be wirelessly connected instead of DD-WRT's repeater bridge mode tries to provide the same basic capability as WDS without requiring any special support from the remote AP. Essentially, it pretends to be a wireless client of the existing AP for every device connected to it, whether wired or wireless. A Wireless Distribution System (WDS) is a system that enables the wireless interconnection of access points in an IEEE 802.11 network. It allows a wireless network to be expanded using multiple access points without the need for a wired backbone to link them, as is traditionally required. For more information about WDS, please refer to Wikipedia.
If supported by both devices, consider using WDS, Layer 2 GRE tunnels (“gretap”), or mesh networking.. Using relayd as instructed in this article isn't guaranteed to work and only supports IPv4. The most common problem is that the client router cannot pass the DHCP message between the main router and the client connected to the client router. . Currently it seems to be the hardware/SOC

Universal Repeater will work even if it only has a normal client/station connection to the access point it's repeating.
